How to be a Critic on Google, Just Like Us!

At time of writing, this little podcast and blog combo are NEARLY three years old! And while we aren’t entirely sure when the bigwigs at Google finally decided to give us our due, but here we are. THERE we are, officially recognized as what we’ve long said we are: review experts.

So let’s say you like to do a big of blogging, maybe a bit of writing about the food you’re biting, or you’re an essayist with a big old list of Golden Age movies to review. Well, if you want big Goog to give you your due, do what we did (be consistent!).

But let’s try and break things down here.

That section pictured above, where we sit in the Critic Reviews? That’s what Google calls the Knowledge Graph, which is made up of various Knowledge Panels. Critic Reviews is one panel on the graph, got it?

And a great deal of the information present in these panels, which can also include business hours/phone number/website, user reviews, and images- much of that is scrubbed from the internet itself.
