Compensated Reviews: WebstaurantStore

Hold onto your hot dogs, we’ve got another review rewarder on our hands!

I can already hear you clearing your throat, but before you say “Hey, uh, I don’t have a restaurant, this doesn’t really interest me,” let me ask you a few questions.

  • Do you like money?

  • Do you like food?

  • Do you like the possibility of saving money on food and food prep items, including, but not limited to 35-lb containers of peanut butter?

Admittedly, if you have a nut allergy, you may not have been enthusiastic about all of those questions, but the point remains, money and food are good.

I leveled with you about the Overstock Rewards for Reviews, and I’m leveling with you now. This may not be your bag, you may not be the target audience for WebstaurantStore.com, but here’s a little secret: they don’t ask for proof of a business when you order. So if you’re a high school booster club in need of concession supplies, or a church group baking club that goes through metal tongs like the Dickens, or YES, someone who, on a carnal level, needs to tear into a 35-lb tub of creamy, delicious peanut butter, then this is the place for you.

And it’s a place that will reward you for your reviews.

Here’s the Skinny

This page on the WebstaurantStore blog will tell you all you need to know:

Okay, sorry, it’s this page, but come ON, look at the value their blog is providing! From one silly scribe to another, I have to recognize great work when I see it, and that? That’s the real deal.

So back to the skinny. If you didn’t click the link above, let me lay out the quick facts, before providing some sweetly succinct images, which will truly dive into the details.

  • The rewards for reviews written on WebstaurantStore take the form of store credit

  • You can earn a maximum $16 per item reviewed

  • To earn a reward, you must be one of the FIRST THREE to review a product

  • WebstaurantStore claims the right to use your review free of royalties (but I’m sure that’s not atypical of any review, the fine print here just isn’t overly fine)

Now maybe $16 doesn’t really get your motor running, but whether you are a small business owner, a non-profit trying to raise funds, or a rightly-anointed Queen of Peanut Butter, saving a couple of dollars here and there can always help.

So if you’re still interested, I’ll let the WebstaurantStore graphics do some heavy lifting here (after all, why not save some keystrokes where I can, right?)

As you can see, you can’t just phone in it and collect your cash. In addition to needing to be one of the first three to review a product, you’ll get different amounts of cash back for what you put into your review, the more effort, the more rewards.

Bam! Reviews need to be 25 words, with “unique text,” according to the blog.

Bam! The photo needs to be from a new angle.

Bam! No less than 30 seconds on the video, and you need to sell that sizzle!

But worth noting, especially if you’re going to be a repeat customer, is that you can be rewarded for up to 500 reviews. Quick math on that, folks, brings us to 8000.

Eight grand in rewards! It might not be easy, but it’s there, it’s possible!

And if that weren’t enough, you’re also going to be doing your fellow shoppers a great service. You’ll get the warm and fuzzies as you plant your face in a fresh tub of the glorious, glistening peanut butter, available here for only $50, you lovelies.

Take my breath away, you beautiful bulk butter.
