Compensated Reviews: Overstock Rewards for Reviews

Let me make something clear, right off the bat. I don’t shop on Overstock. Maybe I’ve looked before, and I think I found a review for the show from Wayfair (which is basically the same thing, can we agree?). But I can’t say I’ve ever been a user. I have no login, no credentials, no password to remember. And I’m not getting a cent for this post. This is all for you, reader.

But maybe you don’t shop Overstock, either, in which case… you’re welcome! Because now you have something to tell your mom next time you call her up (which you should really do more often).

Now I’ve written about compensated reviews a few times over on this blog. In some cases, you bag a free item in exchange for a review. Or you write the review and get a refund after the fact. Then there are the companies who promise to send you a gift card in exchange for that positive review. But I have to say, Overstock blows them all out of the water.

So WHAT is the deal?

Money.

Okay, I’m sure it has to be spent ON Overstock, but still. You get money, and from the looks of it, easy money for your reviews.

I know you’re itching for details, so I’ll cut the chatter and get right to it. You can earn up to $40 per review through this program. Forty dollars. PER review! Though there are a few steps to take to get that full forty.

Join Overstock O Rewards. This is not necessary to get rewarded, but will net you 5% back on every order. If you care about rewards for reviews, you should care about cash back too.

And how much do you have to write to get that cash? Do you think you can handle a tweet? I know you can handle that. We’re all lazy, but anyone can write 140 characters, especially for a payday.

And now? I’ll let Overstock do the heavy lifting (we’re all lazy, after all):

See? I told you it was worth joining Club O Rewards. Two times the rewards! And bonus points for leaving a first review? See, the catch there is that you’re going into a purchase blind, no reviews to rely on if you’re fated to be that first review.

What’s that, you want more details? More secrets? Okay, I relent.

I know, I’m sorry. That rage-font hurts my eyes, too, but there is vital information in there.

Post photos with your reviews, it’ll double the amount issued! That’s even easier than writing 140 characters. Okay, there is the aspect of sharing the inside of your home with strangers on the internet, buuut something is telling me you do that anyway, on all the socials.

And. You have a whole 90 days to use that reward. That’s enough time to start planning for the next season’s look. Because if you’re shopping on Overstock, you probably think about things like that. Get those different throw pillows. And get your rewards.

Overstock. Tell your mama!
